I didn't receive my verification email?
During a registration process, it is common for websites and apps to require you to verify their email address. This is for the following reasons:
- we need to be sure that it's a real person who's trying to register
- we need to be sure that your email address is also real (and that you're not trying to register with another person's email address)
- we need to be sure that the email address is correct so that automated emails can find you when, for example, you trigger a forgotten password request email
There are a number of possible reasons and solutions for not receiving your verification email. Please try the following:
- Check that the email address you have registered with is correct. You can check this by attempting to register again using the same email address. If you are able to register, this means that you previously entered an incorrect email address and this is why the verification email was not received.
- Check whether the verification email has landed in your junk or spam folders. Some email providers are notoriously strict when it comes to detecting potentially spam emails. Therefore, it is not uncommon for verification emails to miss the inbox and land in your junk or spam folders.
- Some organisations apply additional security to the emails that can be received by their employees. For example, if you are trying to register with a government email address, our site will be blocked from triggering automated email addresses to it. You may need to speak to your IT department about "whitelisting" our products domain.
